The power of your thoughts

Our thoughts may be more vital to our success than most believe….

I want y’all to think about this….When you have an important goal for the day that you just HAVE to accomplish, you focus on it and you dedicate yourself to get it done, right?

You focus your brain and tell yourself that this MUST GET DONE. No if’s, and’s, or but’s. You have a drive to get this particular task accomplished.

Now, what happens when you don’t have that mentality? When you think, “ah, I might get to it” or “maybe it can get done tomorrow”….yea. Chances are, it will not get done as quickly as you would have hope, if at all.

The brain is a powerful machine. Our thoughts and beliefs have the power to control what we do and what we accomplish.

If we have severe self doubt and fear of failure, we will not accomplish much. We will not try new things. We will not live the life we could live.

One of my all time favorite quotes is by Jack Canfield and goes “Don’t worry about failures, worry about the chances you miss if you don’t even try”.

Don’t let your mind hold you back from the incredible greatness that may be around the corner. As the old saying goes (not sure who it belongs to) “You never know if you don’t try”.

But changing the mindset is so hard…

Well, it doesn’t have to be. There are ways to train your mind to be more positive and less negative. It can take some time, of course, but it has worked some wonders for me.

Every morning, I wake up and think about 5 things I am thankful for. I say it out loud. If it relates to a person, I tell them (I am so thankful for you, etc).

Next, I have a few pictures I found that inspire me. I put them where I see them at least once a day. These pictures are of dream vacations, inspirational quotes and pictures of things I wish to someday accomplish.

Finally, I make a list of goals. I have a goal for 30 days from now, 3 months from now, 6 months from now, a year from now and 5 years from now.

Where do you see yourself at those time periods? Do you see yourself doing the same thing you are now or are you DREAMING of something more? Something better? Something with much more freedom and flexibility?

If you continue doing what you are doing, will you be able to accomplish those goals you set? I want you to dream BIG. Now answer that again…Can you accomplish your goals with what you are doing now?

I know I couldn’t. My dreams were to big and there was no way I was going to get to where I wanted to be by working at my nurse job.

I wanted to stay home with my kids, go on amazing vacations with my husband, have zero debt and have the freedom to do what I wanted, whenever I wanted.

So I chose change and I jumped in to my direct sales company because this WAS the way I was going to reach every single one of those goals.

Believe in yourself. Set HUGE goals. Do not give up. Before you know it, you will get there. You will look back and be so glad you took the chance to change your life.

Thinking about taking that chance? Let’s chat! Don’t let your fear hold you back from potential greatness.
